Aramark sits down with students – The Gramblinite

With recent issues between Aramark and the students, Aramark has decided to have a sit down and personally talk with the students about the food being served on campus.

Grambling State University’s faculty and students came together to create a “Click it or Ticket” it commercial last Thursday, on GSU’s campus.

The commercial is intedned to encourage audiences to buckle up before traveling anywhere. Event teaches students power of credit – The Gramblinite

Miss Senior Raegan Nation co-hosted ‘The Power of Credit” with Earl Lester Cole Honors College, in Jacob T. Stewart room 262 on Nov. 7.

The speakers of the night included Antonio and Charlita Hudson, Lavor Robinson and Yvette and Rick McGee.

Grambling volleyballers fall to Southern in home opener – The Gramblinite

The Grambling State University Lady Volleyball team started the 2018 season with 21 straight road games. The Lady Tigers hosted their first home game at Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center against SWAC rival Southern University.

The Lady Jaguars (4-13 overall, 3-5 SWAC) took three consecutive games against the Lady Tigers. The final scores of the matches were 25-14, 25-22, 25-12.

Being raised in a Christian household, Halloween was looked down upon by my parents, especially my dad.  I would always hear my friends talking about what their costumes are, who everybody was going to go trick-or-treating with, or what neighborhoods had the big candy bars. Knott Dorm turns co-ed – The Gramblinite

Legends Market pharmacy delayed – The Gramblinite

The opening of Tiger Pharmacy that was set for Saturday, Oct. 27 has been delayed due to IT problems.

When it opens, the pharmacy will be located within Legends Market in Grambling,.  The operating hours will be Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m-1 p.m., and closed on Sundays.

Tiger Pharmacy will provide services including free delivery if you live within a 15-mile radius of the store. Immunizations can be scheduled or walk-ins are welcomed as well.

Miss Cover & Calendar Girl signing – The Gramblinite

On Sept. 6, 2018 Miss Cover Girl and the calendar girls held their calendar signing on the yard.  The girls were all sitting at the table ready to sign their peers’ calendars, starting with the runner ups and ending with Miss August.

“The signing turned out really well,” Alianndra Williams, 20, a junior majoring in kinesiology from Ruston, said.

Miss Cover Girl explores ‘Road to 2019’ – The Gramblinite

To help keep her vision alive, Miss Covergirl, Alianndra Williams held her event “Road to 2019” on Nov. 6 in the Favrot Student Union with guest speaker Christy “C.A.C.H” Hamlin, author of “A Fierce Female’s Guide to College Life and Beyond”.

‘Night of Elegance in Tigerland’ – The Gramblinite

For the past 64 years, Grambling State University has crowned a university queen, alongside other class queens.  On Sept. 13, Ja’Mariea Davis-Miller, a pre-medicine biology major with a minor in psychology from Monroe, La., was officially crowned the 65th Miss Grambling State University in the T. The Student Leadership Initiative introduced their Cohort IV on Thursday on September 20th, 2018, their fourth annual induction ceremony at the Betty E. Smith Nursing Building auditorium.  71 new members were added to the organization recognizing their leadership in the community of the selected group.
